THE STAVES OF DISCERNMENT

The final renderings (above) of three finial designs are from the series Empyrean by Emily Fletcher. Each finial sits as a numinous golden talisman atop a stave – becoming the ‘crown’ piece of a Stave of Discernment. The gesture of each finial personifies the unfolding, burgeoning and uprising of an individual’s soul-life aspiring for inner transformation and a deeper, more integrated connection with the Higher Self. For the owner of such a stave it represents, and is a reminder of, the ennoblement of the soul and embodies courage, nobility and aspirational striving through the self-mastery of the individual.

THE SEASON SEALS

These four season designs created by Mark Geard represent the budding of spring, the fullness of summer’s blossoming and flowing nectar, the seed forming fire of autumn, and the contracting, crystalline forces of winter. These forms are held within a circle – the symbol of cosmic wholeness from which the rhythmic cycle of the seasons are generated.

Spring passes and one remembers one’s innocence.
Summer passes and one remembers one’s exuberance.
Autumn passes and one remembers one’s reverence.
Winter passes and one remembers one’s perseverance.
